green light red light orange light....do they make a difference?

ne abba!!!!!!!

words in bold flashed in my mind.. projecting them in front of my eyes in BOLD RED font..dripping with blood..and the connection from brain to eyes to mouth was established and it came out as..
neeeeee abbbbbbbbbba!!!!!!!

time: 10:45pm
location : at an intersection near btm water tank..

me doing a respectable old age speed of 40kmph ( assumption only cos i dont have a speedometer) and a red pulsar zooms across from left to right.... eyes see the flash of red, brain responds, connection established from the brain to my right hand and right leg..brakes!!! a skid... and neeeeee abbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbba!!!!! follows..

my best guess is that the other guy thought i was complimenting him or something.. no clue, cos he turns around and flashes me a smile.. would have melted my heart if i had 2 XX chromosomes.. but hey!!!!!!! thats not the point.. the point was/is/will be..how can someone be so idiotically insane and in the next sec be so idiotically cool about the whole incident.....

remembered my dear ex pl's advice..dear ravi count 1 to 10 and ur fellow human beings will be spared... and suprisingly, it worked..cos ... he was gone before i could reach 5.. ahh..

now... the moral of the story is:

do not follow traffic rules
do not go slow
do not brake hard

in case u break the above three points... flash ur bestest smile.. ( toothpaste agencies be damned)

all lights no lights..

happy riding..

and there goes the bell............

eeschool.. 3:40pm.... evening prayer which went something like " Oh my god..i love you.. blank blank.. i thank you..blank blank.. i am sorry for offending you and i promise, never to offend you again"

Each word uttered in that prayer was accompanied by one short discreet step towards the door...with eyes closed.. that was the requiste i say..to close your eyes during the prayer.. good natured and god fearing teachers would be intently looking at our faces to make sure that none of us were opening our eyes.. the fact that we were walking and praying seemed to escape their observation..u see they were very dedicated in their job and that was to make sure that we didnt open our eyes.. he he.. and finally the grand finale.. it would be like the movical/proverbial GONE IN 60 SECONDS when the bell rung at the end of the prayer...

or maybe less...or maybe more at times( whenever the slowest of the lot used to trip and fall flat at the doorway).. anyways thats about the brief history of the bell.. HOME BELL as it was popularly called.. It was the most eagerly awaited event of each day of our entire schooling..

and there goes the bell again...... now that my life is fully immersed in a corporate vortex.. it is kind of nostalgic whenever i start thinking about the prayer and the walk accompanied by it and the final mad rush out of the 4 foot wide door and to freedom..

now.. i say.. why dont offices have home bells? pros and cons.. shall discuss.. here goes everything

pro: gives employees a better sense of sticking to schedule..atleast i would stick on if i have a home bell to remind me that its time to go home ;)
con: no con i say:D absolutely no con.... every office should have a home bell and as soon as it rings.. drop the telecons..burn the code and get going home!!!

apparently one more wise old man from china long long ago said.. people should have a quality called self tracking...now.. lots of questions arise on the issue... was the old man really old? was the old man really wise? was the old man really from china? did they have a china long long ago? was the man really a man? if he was really wise, why is there no statue of him? did he pay his taxes? was he hen pecked ? etc...............
and the next round of questions are put on the validity of this statement.. what is self tracking, who is self tracking, why is self tracking and lots of other assortments of questions... and the most important of them all.. DO We really need to talk about or understand 2 random words stringed even more randomly by a person who couldnt do anything and coined these words and these in random get to be called wise cos anything else would have blasphemised the wise old man who chose to live in a random etc place called a china.. for all we know.. this might have been told by a drunkard who couldnt pay his bill and as a last resort blurted out these words to the bartender..

that is the whole story.... and now its time for me to mentally repeat whatever i can remember of the dear old prayer in my head and bid adio.. race you to the door and the last one out is the chor..

Of wooden cars and corvettes

Wondering what the title meant...Well...the thing is that this is called free form writing..or something like that..according to an old wise man from china..

Free form writing...means writing about the first words, letters, sentences etc that come to your mind.

So here we go..free form writing, corvette and the mind goes blank.Adelante, apostrophe, writing on paper is way better/easier than typing.. dum dum dum dum ... adelante again and now comes the weird part of being unable to copy a hexadecimal number into a calculator.. talk about windows being crazy and this is the best example of it.

Guru says..blogs must be treated with respect. blog should take atleast an hour to think, an hour to type, 2 hours to redo/undo/beautify and finally 30 mins to think about submitting.. as usual i cant understand few things in life and among those few things, the time taken for creating a blog clearly escapes from my understanding....

double words..lapse of concentration, wanbsc rfe.. one wooden car to stare at and one irritating yahoo messenger pop to get rid off.. its amazing what the human brain has to process every nano/milli/micro/centi second.. and later on every minute and anything beyond a minute again escapes my brains gravity field.. i do feel and strongly beleive that there is an even greater field of gravity associated with the human brain..

the escape velocity of an idea from my brain is 3 times the escape velocity required for a projectile to leave the earths atmosphere..now..if i remember my physics clearly, i think the value was put down to some 12m/s i guess..( m/s---> metres per second) see...i am right again.. i know the perfect definition of m/s

anyways so by sheer logical i can deduce that after all the mind numbing calculations that my brains escape velocity is 36 m/s ...now..comes the funny part...with the rate at which things are flying away from my head, i would like to name at as brain drain.. now brain drain is again..too mild a word...hmm.. possible alternatives: brain UNFLOOD? brain OUTFLOOD? brain free OUTGOING? or brain free Unlimited outgoing?

shall have a poll anyways to decide..cos such a monuMENTAL and historic occasion of inventing a word needs to be marked by a democratic approval..

abrupt ending ..courtesy..pain in the finger..

Jai and sleep well..

cntrl+Z

Do.....undo.....redo....why do?????

If we need to undo or redo or do whatever to something which we have doed/dided/done...Why do in the first place...

does it seem to make any sense...well at the very highest spiritual level it wouldnt have mattered if it made sense or not.

Well confusions and lots of things apart, i am back.. back to blogging after a self declared exile/hiatus/break etc etc.. funny how many words you can think of when writing one sentence.. etc etc etc time again..

now back to the more important/pertinent question of Undoing or redoing something.. I remember ages ago when i was new to all email internet etc etc( oh again!!!) i got a forward which said........ " I wish LIFE had an UNDO button"

It got me thinking then..but the quantity of beer flowing in my veins soon overruled the event of thinking and promptly put me off to sleep.. and funnily after say 5 years i have come across the same quotation... if only etc etc etc had an etc etc button.. now that i relatively sober and free of alcohol floating around in my blood stream, i thought..why not think about what all could we achieve if we can do a Control+Z to most of the things in our life.......

Without Ctrl+Z
5:00 am - ALARM clangs madly. Frustrating things.. these damn alarms are..
5:00:05 am - curse the alarm
5:00:10 am - curse it again and wake up.

With Ctrl+Z
5:00 am - ALARM clangs madly. Frustrating thinsg..these damn alarms are...
5:00:05 am - curse the alarm
5:00:10 am - curse myself for setting the alarm at that unearthly hour.
5:00:15 am - think about cntrl+Z..hit it... transforms me to 11pm of the previous night where i am setting the alarm to 5am. Hit myself on the head and hit the alarm even harder, throw on the wall and cuddle up and sleep.. life happys i say!

BTW prerequisite for having a control+z button installed in our life.. we need to have a time machine also.. now why didnt i think of it when i started this blog!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! aaaaaaaaaargh i say and i am ready to hit the control+z button to erase everything..more easier way would be to do control+a and then delete..but since i am ranting about control+z i will stick on to it..
hmmmm..happens..u really dont want to undo something u have spent half an hour typing..
so thats about it..thats about it for the time being?

Oh yes..that's definitely about it.

Senior project engineer :D:D:D

ah...now that i have gained enough experience in applying thought...i went back to modifying my bike.. the scientific way....
-> requirements specifications:
a) top speed around 95-100 kmph
b) not to undecent mileage <20>40
c) decent handling...........( 'decent' is subject to individual opinion)

-> study phase
a) explore the market for the availabilty of spare parts... now that 2 strokes are a near extinct species...
b) supply vs demand curve :-) .... no demands for 2 stroke spares means no supply..
the stock samurai uses a 87.5 main jet..i procured main jets of the following sizes 90,95,100,105,110, 115.. till size 100 i enquired for the main jet of 2 stroke bikes like shogun and RX-100. i wasnt so sure about the size of the RX100 main jet size(stock) and dealer ended up giving me a 115 size jet..anyways...

-> design and implementation
nothing to design ;-) just mix and match the jets and set up the carb appropriately.
with the stock air filter 95 main jet gave the max performance, 90 was ok ok..100 gave excellent mid range , but the top end was gone.

with the k&n filter, 110 was the one i finally settled upon..

-> dev testing
87.5 -- top speed of 90kmph....speed is good, but slightly low midrange and it takes quite some time to get to the top speed..
90 -- the speedo needle hovered between 90 and 95.. not too sure if this means anything, but a def improvement in the mid range (only when u pull the throttle wide open...main jet comes into the pic between 3/4th and max throttle)
95 -- crossed 95kmph, couldnt set it properly with a k&n filter, the bike was running too lean.

gave up on the stock filter once i crossed 95

i am not too much of a sound freak...but the exhaust note with an unrestricted filter is truly awesome..

100 was bogging down..couldnt tune it... too much air and not enough fuel...ah.. the resonator..it had to stay cos i couldnt get a normal inlent manifold :-(

105 was very promising, i could touch 100 on a slightly slight decline ;-(...

110-- everything clicked in place... i am not much of a tuner..but this i must admit is the closest i can get to a perfect setting..considering the altitude and the weather conditions prevailing in bangalore.....

115 was too much ... didnt want to explore anything after the 110 jet...

suspension:
stiffer springs from the fiero f2 for the front.. suprised that they are of the same height:-)
this might be a mistake....rear shocks from the pulsar. gas charged and all ;-) ride quality has improved drastically, but handling at high speeds remains to be checked out fully...

always get scared about messing up with the suspension :-(

qa:
to be planned.. initially wanted to make blore- chennai run, but got cancelled in the last min... :-(

and the air screw fell off:-( the hunt starts again for a samurai air screw..
